The Sudanese American Center in Arizona is a non-profit and non-political Organization. It
is a cultural, social, and charitable organization for the welfare of the Sudanese Americans,
and for the purpose of promoting and celebrating the Sudanese heritage and cultural identity.
The Center was organized in 2004 and granted 501(a) (3) status in 2006. The Center has
recently moved to its new location at the city of Mesa.
PROGRAM AND ACTIVITIES
• Sunday school for the youth and new generations.
• Organize and host festivals, cultural events, workshops, and seminars.
• Help ease the transition of the members into a more productive life in the local American
society.
• Improve the life style of its members by providing educational, training, and business opportunities.
• Establish a center for information and a library for Sudanese books, artifacts and collections.
• Enhance and strengthen the relationships and understanding between the Sudanese people and citizens of the United States of America.
• Establish a center for the Sudanese Women Association.
• Social Solidarity Fund to help members during unexpected and harsh events.
• Monthly picnic and social day for families and kids.
• Newsletter every quarter to reflect activities, community news and special topics.
• Open discussion forums every Saturday at the Center.
